PFT's source is a "tipster with a limited but viable track record." We're as skeptical of this report as we were of the last McNabb/Rams report. As of Tuesday, the teams hadn't even talked. For the Rams to part with a high pick, they'd need McNabb to agree to an extension. It's likely that the 33-year-old would balk at a long-term deal with a team so far removed from playoff contention.

The team needs depth, too.
