I'm Right Even When I'm Wrong... Sort Of

So I was reading some of my older blogs, and I noticed something pretty awesome. I was more correct about certain things than I ever imagined I would be. On July, 25th, I posted a blog entitled “Kyle Orton”. In this blog, I mentioned Denver not losing too much on the offensive side of the ball. I explained that Kyle Orton could be just as good as Broncos former quarterback Jay Cutler. However, I feel that I was wrong. Kyle Orton is way better than Cutler. Orton has thrown just one interception this season and that was on Hail Mary. Cutler has already thrown 5. Cutler has thrown for just 901 yards whereas Orton has thrown for 1,236 yards.
Later in that same blog, I said “Who knows, maybe a miracle will happen and the Broncos defense will be good.” How right was I? The Broncos defense held the kept the Patriots from scoring the entire second half Sunday night. Denver’s offense then had a 98 yard drive led by Orton to tie the game and send it into overtime. The Broncos won the coin toss and on scored on 41-yards field goal by Matt Prater to win the game.
If the Broncos can beat a team like the Patriots, you have to wonder what other teams they can beat. Next week they travel to San Diego to play the Chargers. The Chagers are 2-2. The Chargers got dominated by the Steelers last week against the Steelers. Although all but two games that the Broncos have won has been won in come back fasion, Denver can dominate the struggling Chargers. San Diego should have lost to the Riaders in week 1, and, if Chad Pennington had not gotten hurt, could have easily lost to the Dolphins.
Denver’s defense will hve no problem stopping Philip Rivers and the Chargers offense. Broncos’ offense led by Orton, will not be stopped by San Diego’s defense. The Broncos are going to win this game will be 6-0. In the past, the Broncos have gone to the Superbowl after starting out the season undefeated.
This is definitely going to be a really good season for the Denver Broncos. Of course, if you read my blog entitled “Josh McDaniels’ Rocky Start in the Mile High City”, you know that I said that the Broncos would finish either 7-9 or 8-8 and they would not make it to playoffs. I’m really excited that that prediction will be wrong.
