Here are my predictions for the 2010-2011 season.
NFC North- Green Bay Packers. Ok so I have already come to the conclusion that Brett Favre is returning to the Vikings, but there is no way that he is going to outplay his one time back up Aaron Rodgers. The Packers are going to win the division but the Bears are going to finish second, Vikings third, and of course, the Lions are going to finish fourth.
NFC East- Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys won the division last season mostly thanks to quarterback Tony Romo, who played the best football of his career. With the Eagles trading Donovan McNabb to the Redskins, and Michael Vick finding himself in trouble yet again, the Eagles are without a proven quarterback and their defense is just pretty average. The Redskins are not going to fair much better with McNabb under center and Albert Haynesworth wanting out. The Giants will do okay, but the Cowboys are going to win the division for a second straight year.
NFC South- New Orleans Saints. Ok so last year I picked the defending Super Bowl Champions to win their division and I was wrong. Well I’m going to pick the Champs again and hope that I’m not cursed. The Saints still have one of the best quarterbacks in the league and an incredibly strong defense. There will not be a super Bowl hangover, Madden Curse, and hopefully I won’t be cursed.
NFC West- Arizona Cardinals. Though Kurt Warner retired, Matt Leinart is ready to prove his worth and will have an outstanding year. He is going to step up and will help the Cards win the division, though the 49ers will be tough to beat. The defense is also going to play a big role in helping the Cardinals win the West.
AFC North- Cincinnati Bengals. The Cinderella story that shocked the NFL loving world is going to do it again. Though they lost in the Wild Card round of the playoffs, the Bengals have nothing to worry about coming into this season. With Ben Roethlisberger being suspended for 6 weeks, the Steelers are not going to be able to do very much, even after he returns. The Ravens are going to have a good season but the Bengals are going to still going to win the division. And yes, I am going to be counting the Browns out for the next years.
AFC East- New York Jets. With the Jets having an outstanding season last year, Mark Sanchez playing, for the most part, great during his rookie season, the Jets, under the direction of talkative head coach Rex Ryan, are going to have another great season and will win the division. Though the AFC East is, without a doubt, the toughest division in the NFL, the Jets have one of the best defenses in the league.
AFC South- Indianapolis Colts. The Colts have arguably the best quarterback in the league and a tough defense. I would expect Commissioner Roger Goodell to suspend Titans quarterback Vince Young after his 3 am strip club scuffle so I don’t think they are going to do very well, The Texans will make the playoffs but they won’t win the division, and the Jaguars are just terrible.
AFC West- San Diego Chargers. This hurts. I hate to say it but the Chargers are yet again the best team in the AFC West. The Broncos are going to miss the play offs, yet again; the Raiders are going to suck, not as bad as last year, but still suck, and the Chiefs are only going to win about 5 games.
