Cleveland Browns rookie QB Colt McCoy is set to make his first start on Sunday in relief of injured veterans Jake Delhomme and Seneca Wallace.
ESPN and NFL Network reported that a team insider had said McCoy would start. Coach Eric Mangini held off on confirming that Friday morning, but acknowledged it was likely the Texas product would see his first NFL action when the team plays the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Wallace suffered an ankle injury last week. Delhomme, out since Week 1 with an ankle injury, relieved him and aggravated his original ailment.
McCoy was selected in the third round of this year's draft.
