 Broncos agree to terms with Ayers Broncos agree to terms with Ayers The Denver Broncos, who had two first-round picks in the 2009 draft, had not yet agreed to terms with either player. That changed today when, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN Future, the Broncos worked out a deal with defensive end Robert Ayers. It's a five-year deal for the 18th overall pick in the draft. Meanwhile, running back Knowshown Moreno, the Broncos' other first-rounder and the twelfth overall selection, remains unsigned. Moreno is caught in a jam of players whose agents apparently are waiting to see what happens with receiver Michael Crabtree's contract in San Francisco. Crabtree was the tenth pick in the draft, and it widely has been reported that his agent, Eugene Parker, hopes to blow the slotting system apart by getting a deal equivalent to the packages paid out in the top five.
