Broncos Giants, Broncos to play on Thanksgiving in Denver

9NEWS.com | Colorado's Online News Leader | Giants, Broncos to play on Thanksgiving in Denver

DENVER (AP) - The New York Giants and Denver Broncos will play at Invesco Field at Mile on Thanksgiving Day, the first Thanksgiving home game for the Broncos in 46 seasons.

The NFL announced the game on Monday.

The last time the Broncos played at home on Thanksgiving was in 1963, when they lost 26-10 to Oakland.

Although the Broncos rarely play at home on the holiday, they're often the visiting team. This will be Denver's third Thanksgiving game in the past five seasons.

They are 3-7 all-time on Thanksgiving.

Great! I am getting tickets to this game no matter what. I don't think I want to wait 46 more seasons.

Typically, even in years where we field decent teams,we don't do well in Holiday games.....3-7........0-1 against Mannings Giants....

Personally,I'm not expecting much from this years team....

The season hasn't even started yet. Let's see what happens with JC and the draft. I agree that our guys have an uphill battle to be competitive though I think we might be ok if JC get's his act together and our defense is as good as people say it will be this year. I know that's asking a lot but I'm trying to stay positive about all the bad things happening. Go Broncos!

I really don't want to burst your bubble, but when the schedule was released,I saw,at best,6 wins...I admit this was before Shanahan got axed and before the defense was blown up...It was also before the Cutler fiasco, which I expect will be highly distracting and fracturing.....

I've accurately predicted, our W-L,within 2 games the past few seasons, just by looking at the schedule....Last year we won 1 more than the 6 I thought we would......What??...You say we won 8??........No......We didn't........We won 7 and Ed Huculi GAVE us one....

Way to bring me down I know the schedule looks ruff but at least we play the Raiders twice :P

Yeah, I agree Ed did help us out last year. hehe

Thanks Ed!
