Kyle Orton is the Luckiest Dude to Ever Wear a Broncos Jersey
Sunday the Denver Broncos were in Cincy to take on the Bengals. If you read my blog, "Week 1 Predictions", you would have seen that I had predicted the Bengals would win. Fortunately, I was wrong. The Broncos defeated the Bengals 12-7. The Broncos lead at half time 6-0, but in the second half, the Bengals scored a touchdown and made the extra point in the final minute of the game to put the ahead by one point. After Josh McDaniels argued with the refs to put 18 seconds back on the clock, Denver’s offense got the ball once again. What happened next proved to be the best damn thing that could ever happen to a rookie head coach currently on the hot seat after trading away the Broncos franchise quarterback, Jay Cutler, on April 2nd, 2009. It also proved to the luckiest play Kyle Orton will make.
Orton had attempted to pass to Brandon Marshall, who was on the field after serving a suspension for detrimental conduct. The pass was tipped by a Bengal defender and then caught Broncos wide receiver Brandon Stokely. Stokely then ran it in for a touchdown. It was an 87 yard play that resulted in the winning TD.
Kyle Orton is the luckiest dude to ever wear a Broncos jersey.
