With Pennington Injured, I Make a Prediction
Chad Pennington is expected to miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. Pennington dislocated his shoulder Sunday against the Chargers when he was hit by linebacker Kevin Burnett.
So far the Dolphins are 0-3 and now their quarterback is injured. With Pennington possibly missing the rest of the season, we should probably expect to see another season like 2007. The Dolphins were 1-15 in 2007. Then in 2008, after adding Pennington and the wildcat offense, Miami finished 11-5 and even made it to the play-offs. Now they lose Pennington and 11 games. They play the Jets twice, the Patriots twice, the Bills twice and a couple other good teams like the Steelers, and the Saints.
Although without Pennington, the Dolphins will be using the wildcat more often, but it won’t be enough. Other teams will be expecting it. They’ll know what to look for and know exactly how to stop it.
From 11-5 to 5-11. That’s my prediction for Miami Dolphins.
