Vikings Jenn Sterger wants NFL to suspend Brett Favre

The manager for Jenn Sterger said Thursday that the former New York Jets gameday host wants the NFL's investigation of Brett Favre to end with a suspension of the Minnesota Vikings QB.

Phil Reese, Sterger's manager, told the Dan Patrick radio show that Sterger and her representatives are prepared to abandon any plans for further legal action if the NFL takes action against Favre.

"If the commissioner suspends Favre and puts a program in place to prevent it from happening again ... 100%, Jenn would not pursue any litigation against Favre, against the Jets, against the NFL. Nothing. All she wants to do is clear her name. This is not about money," Reese said.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell is reviewing an investigation into allegations that Favre sent inappropriate voicemails and photos to Sterger when he played for the Jets in 2008.

Goodell has previously said the probe -- which included interviews of Favre and Sterger -- was focused on "workplace conduct."

The NFL has not outlined a timetable for when Goodell may make a ruling on Favre. Reese told Patrick he's frustrated with the pace of the investigation, which began in October.

"I don't know what's taking so long here," Reese said. "We have done everything to assist the investigation. We have gone above and beyond. We've been told the league is going to do the right thing."

Favre, 41, has consistently declined to address questions about the investigation. He has said he does not intend to play next week.

Sterger hasn't commented publicly about the investigation. Reese told Patrick she did not notify Jets officials about the alleged inappropriate messages in 2008 because she feared she would lose her job.

Reese also denied that Sterger's camp had made entreaties seeking hush money before the story broke this year, as Favre's agent, Bus Cook, alleged last month.

But Reese said he did speak to Cook before the news came out to prompt the investigation. "He asked me is there a specific figure that you had in mind to make this go away," Reese said.
