Be careful, change is not always good.

Though I would not be averse to the type of change being discussed in this thread..

When Gruden was asked if he would coach the Raiders again he was quoted as saying, ”Tomorrow if I could”.

This would entail Al basically admitting he was wrong about 3 different people, and I've never EVER seen anything to lead me to believe that Al's capable of even concieving that he may have been mistaken about anything. He shut Gannon out of the building, don't see him reversing on that.

Although I'd give my left nut for this happen, it just makes too much sense, and requires more unselfishness than Al ever had. Grampa's pride supercedes everything.

dude, we have 2 wins, several blowouts and a crop of shitty draft picks. WTF are you talking about?

We're not talking about change in the broad, philosophical sense. We're talking about this situation we're in right now. This is exactly the change we need.

Also I like to add: We're averaging 4 wins per season since we were in the Super Bowl. Changes is a must or we keep losing.

Have you considered that despite the fact that the "same shit" maybe be bad, something different, or change, is not always good. For example, suppose one is fed liver-and-onions for dinner every-night (which is terrible) and they want change... they may hope for something better, but then are served a pile of real shit every-night for dinner thereafter. Now, was the change better? Despite the fact that it was a change, it was definitely not for the better.

Are you kidding me - if we are talking about THIS specific change with Gruden and Gannon, I am all for it; but some have been supporting any change at all - and that scares me for I feel that a return to a bed-and-breakfast offense would not be a GOOD change.

Come on now, you really think Al Davis will go that route for the third time?
