Raiders McNabb would have played for Raiders

When all the rumors were swirling about where Donovan McNabb would end up last week (the Minnesota Vikings if Favre didn't sign, the Arizona Cardinals?), one team emerged as a place that he definitely wouldn't go: the Oakland Raiders.

But now McNabb is saying that isn't true. According to InsideBayArea.com, McNabb told ESPN Radio on Thursday that if he had been traded to the Raiders, "I would have been at the workouts and working out with the team, throwing and trying to get the timing down with the corps of receivers and running backs they have and communicated with the offensive line to get ready for minicamp."

That's easy to say now, McNabb.

why wouldnt he say that?? was he supposed to come out and say wow man glad i didnt go to oakland??? no he wont. because what if he has a bad year... then nobody BUT oakland wants him next year. then they'll be his only option... or what if in like 4 years after washington every1 thinks hes too old and washed up to still play. except the raiders. the raiders then keep him in the league with a paycheck... if he were to come out and say man id of never played for the raiders... guess what... then that takes the raiders out of ever looking at him... so he has no reason not to say what he did.... if he says the opposite he burns bridges to a team in the NFL.
