This is not a hard concept. Again, they made the decision to go in another direction, it would be a different story if he decided that he no longer wished to play in the defense he specifically stipulated as wanting to play in and was holding out as a result; rather they changed systems on him and they let Shanahan's ego get in the way of what is best for their team.
