Bruce Gradkowski will start at quarterback for the Oakland Raiders on Sunday, a source with knowledge of the situation said Wednesday.
Gradkowski replaced Jason Campbell on Sunday, and the Raiders went on to beat the St. Louis Rams, 16-14. Gradkowski will practice with the starters and get the start against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, according to the source.
Campbell, who was 8-for-15 passing with an interception at the time he was pulled Sunday, was acquired from the Washington Redskins during the offseason and signed to a contract extension, but he lost his job after playing less than two full regular-season games.
Gradkowski, who completed 11 of 22 passes for 165 yards and a touchdown, rallied the Raiders to some upset wins last season after replacing former top overall pick JaMarcus Russell. Gradkowski injured a pectoral muscle in the offseason, then sustained a groin injury in camp, limiting his opportunities to win the starting job.
Campbell is a former Redskins first-round pick who was Washington's starter for the better part of 2006-2009.
