The question no longer is if the Carolina Panthers decide to trade WR Steve Smith but rather when. Smith wants out, and the Panthers are willing to accommodate him so long as they get something substantial in return for him. The team is not going to give him away.

Broncos | Could be interested in Steve Smith if available

The Denver Broncos could be interested in Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith if the Panthers decide to make him available during the offseason.

I am not sure on this one - on one hand, it would be nice for the Raiders to pick up a veteran leader in the WR corps, but on the other, the Raiders have a slew of young WR's (Murphy, Ford, Schilens, DHB, Moore, Higgins, Miller, etc.) and the Raiders seem inclined to become more of a run-first, run-fast, run-often team.

Take a look at our wr's:

Lock to make team:

DHB / Ford

Questionable:

Murphy - Due to arrest, but on the higher side of yes bring back
Schilens - Can he stay healthy??
Miller - Has not done much in two years but our punt returner.

Garbage:
Higgins - Has not done anything (less than 400 yards per year), can not return punts anymore, garbage.....

Rooks:
Ashberry / Moore - Who knows about if they stick or not....

I think if we add Smith, switch Ashberry to TE(much more room for TE's) and get rid of Higgins and either Murphy / Schilens or Miller (depending on health and another PR coming out of our track team). Keep Moore / DHB / Ford / Smith / (Murphy or Schilens or Miller).

Smith would be a great pick up because we ALL know that DHB will disappear by the mid season like last year. I remembered how the organization was raving about how much improved DHB had shown in training and practices. He started out pretty decent in the beginning, but disappeared in the mid season.

Smith, I welcome you to the Raiders!

You know? I would have to put DHB in the garbage category. Murphy and Schilens are much better than HDB. I do however agree with Higgins being there because he just sucks ass!

I said DHB is a lock to make the team, not that he is our best WR. We will not get rid of him yet, even if he sucks. Look how long it took to eject Russell, even though he sucked from day one to day 6,324.

ROFL DHB, shillens, and Murphy will have a breakout season trust me.

I would rather see a trade for a QB that can get the ball to receivers consistently. Campbell was ok at times but he still isn't that guy. Carson Palmer looks like he will be available now that Cincy drafted a QB.
