Default Bad day and perhaps bad trade?

This game is why I did not like the trade for C. Palmer that much. If the Raiders were one QB away from the Super Bowl, then make the trade! However, the Raiders still have significant holes on defense and elsewhere, so the Raiders essentially traded their future for six weeks of no K. Boller. This game may have showed just how many holes the Raiders need to fill.

In the end, whether or not this was a good trade depends largely on whether the Raiders with C. Palmer and without those picks are better than J. Campbell and those picks. Today, it does not look like it was worth it. However, to be fair, C. Palmer had barely just arrived with a team decimated by injuries, so this game though important may not tell the whole story.

By the way, on a side note, the Raiders probably should have kept T. Edwards, if they have so little confidence in K. Boller.

When Gruden was asked if he would coach the Raiders again he was quoted as saying, ”Tomorrow if I could”.

It's not a bad trade...you guys are okay with Boller for the rest of the year? Carson needs more team with his new team. I didn't expect him to play great today, but I do expect him to get better in two weeks. He's rusty and not familiar with our receivers. Give him time guys!

I knew some fucking dumbfuck would make a thread bitching and moaning about the trade for Carson after todays game. Cmon the guy doesnt even know the basic package. I'd say he did do fair at best. It was WR play thats to blame for the INT. I am pissed, but not phased, our team just didn't show up. I think starting Boller fucked shit up, no one believes in him. And to place Carson in with a 14 point deficit was a bad move. Hue has alot to blame along with the shitty play calling today

It is not so much that anyone is ok with Boller, but rather did the Raiders give up too much? In addition, my original post mentions that this was just one game and that it would not be fair to make a final assessment after today's game.

Perhaps, you should read the entire post before commenting on it.

Not a bad trade at all...He'll be fine with time ,once he was in i knew the game was over... I don't give a shit who it was. You think Tom Brady or Peyton Manning would have fared better?
You could clearly see those picks were because of lack of familiarity with the WR's.. Not to mention one was clearly the fault of moore.

Jason Campbell stinks PERIOD... His play has been declining not improving... The only stupid thing that was done was allowing
Bruce to leave because of Jason's sensitive little ego... Last 10 years who in the first round has been worth it? NO ONE!!!

So the argument for the picks is nonsense. What I find more worrisome is the play calling. We have gotten away from the run and have been passing way to much.

If Mcfadden is having another bout of turf toe than we're screwed. They should have played jones more Bush is no starting RB. There is no way a man that size should be stuffed that many times from the 1.. I have said all along he has no power for a man that size.

Not a bad trade i agree JUST horrible coaching Hue has to get his head out of his Ass and get his ego in check he put the Whole team in a bad spot with his play calling Take the fucking field goal yes its only 14-3 but no we go for it and we don't make it and next thing you know KC stops us and HUE looks like an Ass again like last week plus we gave KC even more confidence.

The Picks were a product of the play calling thats whats lost in all of this we all knew Boller was a liability so why was jackson calling plays that did not work to Bollers strengths we should of focused more on running the ball and whats up with those play action passes

The boller picks ya those were on Jackson. He's getting to cute with the play calling. He may need to turn that over to Al Saunders in my opinion. Wildcat on the goal line please .. Palmer picks were not knowing receivers.
