McFadden and other key players not practicing By Steve Corkran Wednesday, December 7th, 2011 at 10:59 am in Oakland Raiders. The early signs of the Raiders getting back running back Darren McFadden and any of their other injured key players aren’t looking good, based on the first day of practice in preparation for the undefeated Green Bay Packers. Running backs Darren McFadden (foot) and Taiwan Jones (hamstring), wide receivers Jacoby Ford (foot), Denarius Moore (foot) and Chaz Schilens (foot) and defensive John Henderson (knee) aren’t practicing today. Jones, Ford and Moore on Monday said they were hopeful of being able to practice this week. However, it appears as if their injuries aren’t healing as well as expected or hoped. There’s still plenty of time for them to get back into the swing of things before Sunday’s game. The same can’t be said for McFadden, who hasn’t done any football-related activitives since he suffered a mid-foot sprain Oct. 23. At this point, it’s almost inconceivable to envision McFadden playing Sunday. It’s likely that the Raiders are targeting the Detroit Lions game Dec. 18 for McFadden’s return. Coach Hue Jackson said Monday that he doesn’t expect McFadden to miss the rest of the regular season. The fact that he didn’t rule it out has to pass as a major concern. On the bright side for the Raiders, defensive tackle Richard Seymour (knee), middle linebacker Rolando McClain (foot) and tight end Kevin Boss (hip) are practicing. Quarterback Jason Campbell was expected back in early December. That hasn’t come to pass yet. Campbell still hasn’t been cleared to practice, more than seven weeks after he suffered a broken right (throwing arm) collarbone and underwent surgery. The Raiders waived tight end Kevin Brock and linebacker Jeremy Leman from their practice squad. They signed running back Lonyae Miller and linebacker Carl Ihenacho to take the place of Brock and Leman on the practice squad. Miller and Ihenacho are practicing today. |

He's out for the season ... I'm hopeful that the new GM is going to dangle McFadden for trade bait this offseason. If somehow they were able to get a 2nd and 3rd I'd dump him quick. The guy is a liability. You build your team with him in mind and he's never healthy it's fucking irritating. Bush needs to work on his pass blocking bigtime. Hopefully Jones can make it back this week and Jackson figures out a way to use him more and see whether or not he can make an impact.

| McFadden isn't a free agent...he still has 2 or 3 years on his rookie deal.
