Default Tice will not interview for Raiders job

Quote:
Nearly a week after the Raiders requested to interview Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice, the Raiders have apparently had a change of heart.

ChicagoBears.com writes that Tice will not interview for Oakland’s head coaching position after all. The Raiders are focusing on narrowing their search at this stage. Broncos defensive coordinator Dennis Allen is interviewing for a second time.

“I was disappointed I wasn’t able to complete the interview process,” Tice told Michael C. Wright of ESPNChicago.com. “But let me say this: I’m very excited about the opportunity and the new position I have with the Bears. I strongly believe everything happens for a reason. And I think there are some great reasons to be in Chicago.”

It would be fun to see Tice get another crack at a head coaching gig, although he was clearly a long shot for the Oakland job. The Bears are expected to add a coach with more passing game experience to their staff to assist Tice in running the offense.

When Gruden was asked if he would coach the Raiders again he was quoted as saying, ”Tomorrow if I could”.

Probably but WHY???

Where did this fuck come from? DC for the Donkeys for a year does not a legitimate HC candidate make.

If mckenzie's main goal is to underwhelm and disappoint the nation, this would do it.

Yeah, and how much credit should go to Coach Fox for that D - not to mention that their D, while good, was not exactly elite. Overall, getting rid of Coach Jackson looked bad from the start and looks even worse now.

It's not impossible. I'd bet money Gruden would listen to what McKenzie has to say. But I doubt Mark Davis would be down with that.

Cowher's still available too right? Why does anyone think it would be impossible to land him, unless money is a real show-stopper? - which none of us knows is or is not the case.

Pete Carmichael of the Saints. No fucking brainer.

Chudzinski from Carolina performed miracles with Cam Newton.

How about the DC from SF?

Billick is out there and at least he has won a SB (even though I thought he engaged in idiocy with his QB position).

IMO we really blew it not going hard after Philbin. Let's get some fucking greatness in here.

Mike fucking Tice??? My God.

Just shoot me now.

Yeah, Gruden would have been great. However, of the available coaches, Philbin and Carmichael should have been moved on quickly.

The Oakland Raiders have ruled out New Orleans Saints offensive coordinator Pete Carmichael for their head coaching position. Oakland is down to Denver Broncos defensive coordinator Dennis Allen, Green Bay Packers assistant head coach Winston Moss and a "mystery candidate."

Without even knowing who he is, I vote for the "mystery candidate."

Glad he's not going to be our Head Coach. I don't understand why Allen is considered to be our coach. I think it's a bad move. He has no experience and we're about to name him the Head Coach?
