Former Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio could have taken a year off and collected his full salary for 2012, the final year of his contract. Instead, he’ll go back to work, for no extra money.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Del Rio has been hired to serve as the Broncos’ defensive coordinator.

The move reunites Del Rio with coach John Fox. They worked together in Carolina a decade ago, in Fox’s first year as coach of the Panthers. Del Rio served as defensive coordinator until becoming the Jaguars’ head coach in 2003.

Yeah, saw that - not good. It seems that the Denver is improving while Oakland seems not to be.

I keep reading that McKenzie is good and that he should be trusted - but, if he was that good, he should not have fired Coach Jackson unless he had someone markedly better ready to come in. This was not the case, it seems Coach Jackson was fired to ease McKenzie's ego and then he want on a coaching search after he fired the best coach the Raiders have had in quite a while.

When Gruden was asked if he would coach the Raiders again he was quoted as saying, ”Tomorrow if I could”.
