Default Starting to warm on Bey

Just a little. First, it isn't his fault that he was picked at #7. Second, his speed alone could have him burning downfield and taking a corner and safety with him, opening up space for a guy with better hands like Chaz or Miller. I don't really care if he doesn't make the tough sideline catches, I want him to be able to do the job that is expected pf him: to catch the long bomb. I think he has a better chance of quicker success than Crabtree as well. At least the Raiders have some offensive weapons: Russell, 3 quality backs, JLH, and Miller. Who does Crabtree have? Who's throwing him the ball? It might take him a couple of seasons to adjust to a pro-style offense, if ever. At least Bey has been in a pro-style offense for a while and won't necessarily have to go through the growing pains that most NFL receivers go through. I'm not necessarily pissed that Al picked this guy, but I am pissed that he picked him at #7. It just proves Al needs someone with a clue to help him. He could have moved down to any spot before the Giants (who probably would have taken him) and paid less money and gotten more picks. Stupid.

Raiders

Im already warm to the pick.I think after reading of how his work ethic is and how eager he looks to prove the naysayers wrong.I can't wait untill pre-season, but I think your right when you talked about him taking a cb and safety with him. This would open up more room for walker if he stays healthy and Higgins in the slot. Also would give alot of underneath stuff to miller and d-mac.

I think he brings something this team lacks with him. Speed to get down the field. I think if we would have traded back & picked up another pick everybody would rave about what a great move it was. Like you said, 7 is probably too high but oh well, he is here now.

Good to see you've warmed up to Bey. You were so pissed!

Schilens will be a better pro than Bey.

Bey better get to Alameda and start working the jugs machine immediately if not sooner.

Bey won't contribute shit until 2011. Now we have a raw QB throwing to a raw WR.

We got no choice but to give Bey a shot. I'm pissed off we didn't grab Crab, but the draft is over so let's root for Bey to tear it up!!!
