A league official confirmed to the AP that the Redskins formally interviewed Mike Shanahan regarding their head coaching vacancy on Monday. GM Bruce Allen spoke to Shanahan by phone, though it's unclear if Allen was on owner Dan Snyder's plane to Colorado early Monday. It's been confirmed that Shanahan was aboard the flight, which landed in D.C. on Monday afternoon. His hiring appears imminent, and probably will come by Tuesday.
